Birthday Pile Up!

The birthday fun continues! In lieu of a sugar-present frenzy on a "school night" to celebrate with Alston this weekend with presents and a trip to Fenton's Ice Creamery for his "birthday club" sundae!

In the AM, Alston tore into his birthday loot...

And then lunch at Fenton's!!! To our surprise, he selected pumpkin ice cream with caramel sauce for his sundae. I thought for sure he'd select chocolate-chocolate chip ice cream with chocolate sauce as he had a few weeks ago when we went for his FIRST EVER sundae (which was well received, hence the request for another "special" lunch!)

 Needless to say Alston was a pretty happy boy after a day like this! He was a magical spirit - joyfully light-hearted and fun to be with. I think we all smiled a lot today.
