Budding Artists

Our buddy, Jasper turned 7! In honor of the big day, his moms hosted an art party! They prepped stretched canvases and stocked up on acrylic paint for the party, which convened in Libby's painting studio.

I enjoyed watching the focus of the 7 year olds as they worked. I've included a few "in progress" shots of Alston's painting. There were a lot of nice moments, where I was tempted to halt the paintings progress. Then I realize I had to get over MY DESIRES for a nice looking painting and realize that for a 4 yr old its more about the experience. And more paint and mess is BETTER!! So we now have a canvas covered with a very gloppy "everycolor" olive grey mound and VERY happy artist!
