The first day we were testing out a pirate costume for a pirate themed birthday party. Alston had so much fun trying the costume on that he did not want to take it off. He even said he wished he could sleep in it! We went to the movies with friends in the costume and strolled the Oakland first Friday event (including Lego Jeep).
Of course day 2 was even better!! As you would expect from a birthday but this one was at Fairyland!! Jack's mom went all out and even put together a treasure map for finding the pirate treasure!! Crowning moment of the day was Alston climbing to the top of the crows nest of the pirate ship! On past visits( which there have been many) he has found it too daunting and has not even attempted the climb. So, it was a break thru moment for him!!
