Cranberries vs. Cousins!!

Patrick scored a couple weeks off over Thanksgiving and we put it to good use by booking an extend-o trip east! Hard to believe that a year has passed since our last MD/PA tour...but here we are.
We had a great visit with everyone. Alston was truly enraptured with all his cousins AND the cranberry sauce!

My mom joined us at the Kavanagh's in Mechanicsburg for Thanksgiving dinner. (Thanks again to all our "drivers" for schleping us and our stuff to and fro houses, airports, etc!!)It was a delicious and lovely dinner with the whole Kavanagh crew.

Alston particularly loved spending time with his cousins, Evan and Grace. There was crafting, puzzling, playdoh, stories, Baily (aka "Big Dog"), football, nut cracking and way way more! It was sad sad day when the Moulthrops headed out for their Disney vacation.

Grandypa did a pretty good job filling the void with building towers and a jaunt to the park.

Grandyma and Grandypa also took us to the Strasburg Railroad museum, which was mindblowing for all of us.
The collection of huge trains was QUITE popular with our budding train aficionado (as depicted above by picture of Alston darting joyfully from train to train!). Then add in several rooms filled with various miniature train toy sets....and it's a near miracle we ever left the museum. Thank goodness for Evan and Grandypa efforts to keep the Mechanicsburg house stock with train entertainment!

We also logged in some QT with the Columbia, MD based Sizemores. As usual the cousins reign supreme!! There were lots of goofy pile-ups, more trains, pirate ships and more more! We bundled up one night to check out the The Garden of Lights at Brookside gardens. It was incredible!!!
All in all, we had LOADS of fun with Carter, Mason, Unkle B, Aunt Suuuuue and Grammy tooo!
Not really sure how the 2 weeks flew by so fast. Alston is still jabbering on about all the Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and COUSINS!!!
