Bobo Invasion on Long Meadow!

Next stop on the Maryland tour is my brothers house!! With lots of QT with the cousins!!! Alston adored being around Carter and Mason. When they were not by his side playing, Alston would wander room to room saying "Cousins? Cousins?" in a sweet sing song voice.
This was the SLOW crawl to the park one afternoon. Alston was pretty amped to find this riding "Mater" from the movie cars in the garage. Aunt Suuue and Unkle B made sure all the house was stocked with lots of Alston favorites.

Then Patrick and I took the kids to a bar!!!
ah, just kidding! The boys did have a half day, so I got to feel like I was the "cool aunt" busting them out of school 10 minutes early. Then Grammy/GeeGee, Patrick and I took the gang to duck pin bowling! Here's Alston attempting to throw his first ball down the lane.
Despite the look of these pictures, he never really took to this game idea. He was really upset about sending the balls down the lane and tremendously worried that the balls would in deed come back. In fact, in the above photo he's probably frozen in a screaming whine calling to get the ball back!

Grammy and Carter work on the old school score sheet (I love that this alley STILL has the over head projector system...no computers here!)
I even managed to bowl a few frames! Though I think it Mason might have been the true bowling shark and beat us all!

Overall, it was just nice to have some time to hang out with everyone. Reading, playing and catching up in ways that you just can't do when you live so far from one another.

Patrick and I were also able to catch one of Mason's Taekwondo practices. At this time, he was practicing to earn his white belt. It was great to see him so focused and working towards something. Very Impressive.
