Thailand: Part 5 - Getting Home

It was long road home. Or at least a flight to Seoul, a loooong 10 hour layover and then a flight to San Francisco. Our timing was quite good, as the long day at the market had worn Alston out. So, he slept most of the way to the the Seoul Incheon Airport. I can't think of a better place to have long layover than Seoul Incheon Airport. Just this year, it was voted World's Best Airport (according to Skytrax passenger survey). And I can see why. This place has EVERYTHING - A Rest and Relaxation area with quiet sleeping area of loungers, beautiful private shower rooms, a spa, lots of shops, restaurants, exhibitions areas to learn about Korean culture and several play areas and probably more that we didn't even see!

While Alston napped, Patrick and I even found some time to paint fans with traditional Korean designs of a persimmon bloom. I love an airport that has a crafting area for bored passengers waiting for connecting flights. Genius!!!
We can't sing enough praise of this airport. It was even immaculately clean thanks to the continuously clean staff. If you stayed in one place more than 10-20 minutes it's like likely you'd see the staff pass you twice cleaning your area. The staff in the duty free shop even lent Alston toys to play with while we waited. Tell me where THIS happens???

Well, the rest of the trip went as you might expect...another flight and a generous airport shuttle ride home from our friend, Libby (Thanks again!).

Home is good. Vacation in Thailand is better.
