Alston was highly into plunking ALL visible dandelions on this day. Note his weilding a danelion in both hands in the image above. This might have been more fun than the actual play gym or swing on this day. We were had a small and early celebration in honor of Alston's 1st Birthday with his Grandy-parents! Hard to believe he's one already. This year has flown by.
Then and NOW!I could write lots on the moving life changes, reflections on a long labor and birth and goobs on who Alston is growing into but I'll have to save that for another time.
We kept the birthday pretty simple; family, cake and few presents.

The cake was not widely popular with the birthday boy. He did not even eat one bite. Not even after tasting the frosting, which is definitely the sweetest thing he's tasted to date. He played with frosting and managed to cover everything in a thin layer of goo. Presents were a bit more exciting but still a bit overwhelming. He flamed out after opening 2 and then it was bedtime. We also snuck in a early birthday surprise for Grandy-ma since we would not be with her on her actual birthday.

It was fun packed couple of days. Glad that they arranged the stop and can't wait to see the Grandy-parents again at Christmas.
