Holiday trimmings! (with friends)

Ramping up for the holidays included a trip to ZOO lights at the Oakland Zoo with Kyle, Rivkah, Isa and new baby Una (just a few weeks old!). Isa and Alston can be seen below running around a well lit tree trunk.

 

 The holidays would not be complete without some cookie cut outs with my favorite baking partners, Libby and Jasper!!!

 Alston did pretty good with cookie cutting part but then lost focus (and self control) with the decorating part. He found himself compelled to lick off the frost on each cookie he decorated. Even ones he was trying to decorate for GaGa! That part was pretty funny. He'd earnestly start decorating a cookie saying it was for GaGa....then moments later, he have lost restraint, licked the frost off, maybe even taken a bite out of the cookie.... and would make the saddest tearful cry of disappointment that he'd ruined GaGa's special treat, as if he was surprised. Then the cycle would start again. It was funny to watch.
