New Year's Eve GaGa Style!

It was in an all day GaGa affair. We started to day out with late brunch at Mama's royal cafe, one of Patrick's favorite old school diner type places.
Alston ordered a scone which happened to come with cream cheese frosting. We figured this was every kids dream!
NOT. He pitched a fit that it was not crunchy. We scrapped the frosting off... then the scone was too spongy in the middle. Eesh, guess we should have gotten the day old stale scone. He yelled out in the restaurant "this place has the WORST scones!!!!". We all had a good laugh, as it was probably the best s one of his life.

Upon returning home we shared a cupcake and macarons. Alston decorated Patrick's gift with giant tape letters

Later, that night we went to our friends Kate and Paul's for a birthday celebration and NYE celebration! We hung out and cooked an excellent Mediterranean dinner with an outrageously rich vanilla pie for dessert. ( special thx to my mom for watching Alston!)
