Well, we are definitely gearing up for the holidays and our visit back east. No one is more excited than Alston. He's getting really pumped about his first plane ride and opportunity to meet all the east coast family and some friends. Our journey will start in CT this coming Wednesday. (So, not likely that there will be a whole lot of bloggin' over the next couple of weeks). Then our 3 week travels will take us from CT to MD to DE to PA and back to CA! Whoa. We might be insane new parents. Perhaps it's the lack of sleep or sheer bliss of our new baby that has driven us to such lengths! At anyrate, present shopping is proving challenging this year, even with the online options. It turns out that Alston is very aware when we are multi-tasking and has made it clear that he does NOT appreciate it! Hopefully, it will all get done and we'll get all packed up by Tuesday night. Patrick admitted this morning he was a bit stressed out about getting it all done in time.
Despite all the craziness, we manage to fit in a couple hours with some of our friend that happen to have babies recently too. Here are some shots of Alston's new friends:
From the left: Alston, Tessa (born 2 days after Alston) and Ryan(8 days old)
Here are the new dads, from the left: Patrick, Ben and Andy
And the proud new moms, from the left: Me, Lindsey and Lisa, the newest mom (looking ever so great)It was wonderful to see our new parent friends, swap birth stories, meet new babies and of course share our latest parenting tricks from the trenches. Alston may have won the name Super Chunk in comparison to his new friends. He also was accused of having a toupee, as there is no way a new baby could have this much hair.
Hope everyone has a joyous and safe holiday season where ever they are! New York, Seattle, SoCal, Denver, Paris, Dubai or BUDAPEST and every where in between, we are sending you lots of love here from the Kavamores! XOXO!

OMG! Alston looks so old already! I think it is all the hair he has. He looks so grow up sitting up on the couch next to you. He looks like he is laughing at what the person across the way has to say. What a big boy!
