Grammy's Here!

Grammy (aka my mom) arrived yesterday from the East Coast to meet Alston for the first time.





Today, Alston received a present straight outta PA! from Grandma and John Pops de Biv Kavanagh. We were pleased to see the that they thoughtfully coordinated the wrapping paper with Alston's blanket. We've been receiving lots of presents in the mail from so many people: Aunt Ellen, Aunt Meme/Uncle Jerry, Aunt Bonnie, Chad/Tiffany, Aunt Shelia/Uncle Tom and the list goes on. We can't thank everyone enough for their generosity! It's made these first few weeks extra special!

One last photo of me, Patrick made the observation that we are not taking nearly enough photos of me and Alston together (perhaps cause I'm usually the one obsessed with capturing everything in photo form). We'll make a better effort to have more Thea photos in the future.

Alston's sweater in these photos does have bit of a special story beyond just being adorably cute and Nordic. Grammy brought this sweater as a gift for Alston. Apparently, my brother and I both wore this sweater when we were babies. Grammy believes that this particular sweater was knit by MY paternal grandmother (Alston's Great-Grandmother - aka Doris Sizemore) though she notes that both she AND my grandmother made sweaters like this and she's uncertain who's handy work it is in the end(as it has been 35+ years). Either way it's super special.
